Just spent one week at Pontins Pakefield (22-07-2011 to 29-07-2011) with our four children and had an excellent holiday.
Friendly and fun bluecoats welcomed us with face painting on arrival for the children. The appartment/chalet No:228 was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of activities for the kids day and night along with a swimming pool with water slide. The kids had plenty to do throughout the day and night and made many friends.
Going to Pakefield half board enabled us to also have a break from cooking whilst saving money by not using expensive restaurants and other food outlets. I will give Pakefield top marks because it was clean and friendly with plenty of fun including many activities for the children to do.
The children have already asked if we can return next year and we are in full agreement because they thoroughly enjoyed themselves, myself included. In addition to this the adults meet many people and also found themselves having a fun packed time.
We went away to thoroughly enjoy ourselves and we were not disappointed. |

Ourselves and four children spent one week at Pontins Pakefield and found it to be more than we expected after reading some very unfair reviews on other websites.
When you approached Pakefield Pontins the grounds were well kept. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the bluecoat team. We went to our Chalet even though we was one hour and 15 minutes early. The chalet was clean and comfortable.
The children had much to do even if the weather had of been bad. There is an excellent beach down a short path. There was entertainment and more than enough to do all throughout the day. The shows and entertainment was non-stop throughout the evening for both adults and children.
The food (Half Board) was good and plentiful and the catering staff were always friendly and helpful.
There is much to do if you want to visit the local area (Lowestoft) for example Pleasure Hills Theme Park with rollercoasters and lots of rides for younger children. Also you have the Broads that you can take a boat ride on or navigate yourselves by hiring a boat.
Further up the road approximately a 20 minute drive is Great Yarmouth with lots to do, for example there are two piers, donkey rides, lots to do along the beach front and Pleasure Beach Theme Park with lots of rides for both young and older children.
We found Pontins Pakefield to be one of the best British Holidays |

The chalets were overall very impressive, just the carpets let them down a bit!
The food was great!
The club night was great for children but the adult things only started at 10.30! |

My family and I went to Pontins in Pakefield. We all enjoyed everything. Food was good quality and served with a smile witch was a nice touch. The chalets were extremely clean and equipped with towels and a kettle with coffee and tea supplied, looks like a lot of effort went into the rooms!
All in all a very enjoyable time. Thank you Pontins for making our holiday fully fun for all of the family! |
